I have been fortunate to work at Honda Research and Development in Raymond, Ohio. While the work that I did there is strictly confidential I can say that I got experience working on designing components around dynamic environments, and improving safety and function of future vehicles. I also analyzed part durability by calculating von Mises stress and deflection using FEA for different components on current and future vehicles. Because of my curiosity and interest I was able to work with head technicians and disassemble and reassemble an entire 10 speed automatic planetary gear-set transmission.
